PROVIDING MURATAL QUR`AN THERAPY TO REDUCE ANXIETY LEVELS IN PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE (CKD)

Abstract

Chronic kidney disease is a major public health problem worldwide, which can affect all aspects of life so it can provide a severe, stressor for the community, especially in Indonesia. Chronic kidney failure patients who do hemodialysis therapy are useful for maintaining quality of life while changing the patient's lifestyle. Such changes affect such as the patient's diet, sleep and rest, medication use, and daily activities. This type of research is descriptive with a case study method approach that explores Nursing Care in patients experiencing CKD. An anxiety measurement tool using the STAI questionnaire. This study showed that CKD patients experienced anxiety with an anxiety level score of 68 including high anxiety levels. After being given Qur'anic murotal therapy for 15 minutes, patients experienced a reduced anxiety score of 59, including moderate anxiety levels. Qur'anic murotal intervention can reduce anxiety levels and is one of the therapies that are easily applied by nurses.
