APPLICATION OF WOOLWICH MASSAGE THERAPY TO INCREASE BREAST MILK PRODUCTION IN POSTPARTUM SECTIO CAESAREA

Abstract

Breastfeeding is a step to provide nutrition, immunity, and emotional support for the growth and development of the baby. Woolwich massage is the right step to help increase milk production for postpartum mothers who experience milk production problems. The aim of this research is to find out the description of the implementation of woolwich massage therapy in post-sectio casarea mothers. This type of research is descriptive with a case study approach method. The research subject was one section casarea postpartum mother with milk production problems. The data collection technique used is based on the observation sheet. The instrument in this study was the observation sheet for the smooth production of breast milk. The results showed an increase in the total pre-intervention score on the first day to 2 (low milk production) and the post-intervention total score on the last day to 7 (sufficient milk production). Conclusion woolwich massage is effective to be applied as a therapy to facilitate milk production
